I wen tto the System/Library/CoreServices and double tapped SpringBoard.app but all it does is go back to the 'desktop' or main screen. I don't see a away to edit the files. Please point me in the right direction.

I'm not sure why it's not working for you. Try uninstalling that source for the mail App and try using this source:
http://ipodtouchmaster.com/files/repo.xml

Find the mail fix somewhere in the categories.

Try this to get rid of the "No Service".

1. Download a SummerBoard patch from http://www.box.net/shared/bd3kbj9wcs

2. SSH in to your iPod Touch and copy the file to your iPod Touch

3. SSH to the touch, and execute the below steps.
4: If you put the sbpatcher.tar.gz file is in /var/root, type the following commands:
1. tar zxvf ~/sbpatcher.tar.gz
2. cd sbpatch
3. ./sb_patcher

This should take care of the SummerBoard and the "No Service" status.

Not sure what I did diff...but I followed all the tut's and installed 1.1.3 from my previous jailbreak'd 1.1.2. I cant find that folder in my Itouch when I SSH into it?? Is there another 1.1.3 that I have to DL in order to get all the new apps?
