Today Apple announced iPod Touch firmware 3.0 software and iPhone firmware 3.0 software. The iPhone Dev-Team have confirmed that you can jailbreak iPod Touch 3.0. When is the jailbreak going to be released? You will need to wait until summer when the official iPod Touch 3.0 firmware and iPhone 3.0 firmware is released.
I will post a guide here on how to jailbreak iPod Touch 3.0 and jailbreak iPhone 3.0 when it is out.

i got the ipod touch 3.0 firmware off a torrent yesturday and so far i like it. the bluetooth is already enabled!! but i would like to jailbreak it because i would like an app off cydia to enable bluetooth file transfer.
yes i have ipod touch too and i get the 3.0 fw but still dunno how 2 jailbreak it...i miss all my cracked apps from the appstore. can anyone help???
I got the firmwire and I got the FWBundles. It's kind of weird because the first few times I got put in recovery mode.

I'm not sure exactly when the 3.0 update came out, but i was able to get it today and will hope that there is a jailbreak for it soon. Until there is I'm not going to update my Ipod touch.

no it dusnt and it stops the jailbroken apps including cydia 2 work.
has anyone ever tried to tether their cell phone with the itouch. I wonder if it would be possible with the blue tooth feature enabled now.
if you update your iPod touch to 3.0 your not able to hack it, but i think the jailbreaking firmware is comming out Friday. but you can only hack 2.2.1 ipod or a lower version only

Aright first of all, you can't tether with the iPod Touch to the computer. Secondly, this bluetooth feature is only available to iPod Touch 2G! And lastly, if you already have a jailbroken iPod Touch and put 3.0 over it, it'll not be jailbroken, it'll be an iPod with a 3.0 software over it. For the jailbreak to 3.0 has not been released yet, but the Dev team are trying their best to make it happen.

No, you don't have to. I also had ipod touch 2.2.1 with jailbreak installed and just installed the 3.0 on it. All it did was just removed the jailbreak software, so you just have to download and install the jailbreak 3.0 software on it.

if i update to 3.0, will i lose all my music and cracked apps? its already backed up on itunes, but how exactly will that workw when i download the new software, then re jailbreak it ?
i have a first gen ipod that is running on 3.0 software. the first time it crashed when i was using winterboard and tried to use a theme. The second time it crashed i was trying to put apps back onto my ipod and now it has an apple logo which will have a spinning logo on it idont want to resstore it again which will make me do it over again because my computer cant use redsn0w well
