iPod Touch 1.1.4 is out!

iPod Touch firmware 1.1.4 has now been released. I would highly recommend upgrading to this firmware if you own an iPod Touch. Here's why.

Firstly, Audio quality is improved! Yes, you will notice a difference in your music.

Secondly, there are a lot of bug fixes.

And last, but not least, this version prepares you for the SDK applications. Apple modified a lot of files in preperation of the SDK (iPod Touch Software Development Kit) launch. This will allow developers to create applications for the iPod Touch.

Okay, I have received a couple questions concerning the jailbreaking process of the 1.1.4 firmware. NO, right now it is not possible to jailbreak the iPod Touch 1.1.4, and even if you manage to do it, a lot of applications will not work. Fortunately ZiPhone is working on releasing a newer version of their software so that you will be able to jailbreak the new firmware.
