iPhone PWNED/iPod Touch PWNED to be released!

Today the iPhone Dev team will release the iPhone/iPod Touch PWNED/PWNAGE tool. This is a really powerful tool. It will completely eliminate the need for jailbreaking your iPod Touch or your iPhone. What this tool does is that it takes your firmware, and allows you to modify your.ipsw files to make the firmware work as the way you want it to work. You can develop your own applications and modify the iPod firmware directly instead of having to download and jailbreak and hope it works. In other words, you can fully modify your iPhone or iPod Touch!

You can view a video of how this works below. Updates on the release of this tool will be posted on this website, be sure to check back later today!

How to Block Ads on the iPod Touch

Lets face it, the Ads on most websites are annoying, and we definitely don't want them to load on our iPod Touch! Websites would definitely load faster in the iPod Touch Safari browser if all the Ads were blocked. This tutorial will show you exactly how you can block Ads.

Note: You must be running a jailbroken firmware 1.1.1, 1.1.2,1.1.3, or 1.1.4 to work with this tutorial.

Okay, lets start!

1. Launch Installer. Tap Edit, and click Add on the top left corner. Type in the following address for the source: http://i.cocoamug.com and tap "Okay" to continue.

2. Tap the "Install" button and scroll down the categories until you see the Cocoamug Software Category.

3. Once you are in the Cocoamug Software category, tap Adblock and click Install.

4. Once it's installed, reboot your iPod Touch firmware 1.1.4/1.1.2/1.1.3/1.1.1. You should now see an icon on springboard that shows Adblock. Tap that icon and start configuring your options!

iPod Touch firmware 2.0 video details

Here is a video on the iPhone / iPod Touch firmware 2.0 which shows the new features that are added to it.

As you can see in the video, new features include:
- Calculator has square shaped buttons instead of the circle buttons
- There are parental controls added (requires you to type in a passcode to access controls)
- The iTunes logo has a new icon
- Microsoft Exchange Server is added to the e-mails list
- Cisco VPN
- New Calendar features
- Support for WPA/WPA 2 on WiFi

Well, if you saw the video, you would have noticed that the iPod Touch firmware 2.0 wasn't jailbreaked in there. But the DEV team HAS already jailbreaked it and will release the jailbreak once the firmware for the 2.0 comes out.

iPhone 2.0 jailbreak!

The Dev team has already jailbrokent the iPhone 2.0 firmware before it even came out! Hopefully the same will be done for iPod Touch 2.0 by the time it comes out. That's all we know so far. This is a screenshot of the jailbreak. There's really not much to share at this point.
